CLOSE UP

I haven't drawn in weeks. Between the puppy and my artists' block it was easy to avoid sitting down and just putting a pencil in my hand. Today, at the loving and persistent urging of my husband, I did this sketch. It felt really good to draw again.

A MATCHED PAIR

This week's entry for Illustration Friday, submitted rather later than usual. The topic: MATCH. This is a pair of my husband's shoes along with a pair of mine.

I've been slow to post this week because of a little furry distraction. We've got a new puppy who's a joy and a handful! I'm sure I'll draw her soon enough!

BEWARE THE SNUCK

Talk about your wolf in sheep's clothing: introducing the little known Snuck. These sinister snakes masquerade as ducks, luring innocent joggers into a false sense of security. Beware the Snuck! BEWARE!!!!

TWO LADIES

This is another pencil sketch done from an advertisment in a magazine.

And this one is the unfinished sketch I started today based partially on a fabric print. It was too detailed for me to finish entirely today, but I wanted to post my progress.

PEEK-A-BOO

This one I did yesterday, but the internet was down last night.

MORE PLAYING AROUND

Haven't figured out pastels yet.

Next I did this map pencil drawing of some flowers.

Which in turn reminded me of another map pencil flower drawing I did 10 years ago!

Which was in an old sketch book along with this drawing I did at Christmas when I was 11.
